07/17/2007:"Regulations do not allow such a wonderful experience to occur."
Roos Roast coffee will not be present in its liquid form at the Alaska Wilderness League table in the non-profit section of the Arts Fair. Regulations do not allow such a wonderful experience to occur. I had visions of people standing around the table, early morning art goers, upon wandering through the streets of A2 they would come upon the AWL table and enjoy the fresh roasted, free speech coffee that John Roos brings to your and my pallet everyday. It was a romantic vision of camaraderie, conversation and good will that only a good cup of Joe can stimulate. It was a grand vision, a vision of freedom, patriotism, democracy, all burned down and stomped upon my feudal regulations knitted in the fabric of well intentioned public health codes. Fortunately, Roos Roast will still be there in bags waiting to be ceased upon and slowly dripped into your coffee pot. I urge you to still stop by and say hi, I know it is a high priority properly displayed in your day planner. If you do wander over to the Alaska table and say the secret phrase " Every anarchist is a baffled dictator", you may find yourself with a fresh, hot, savory cup of Roos in your hand. I can't make any promises, and if big brother is watching whole plan might unfold, but as a patriot in corporate dominated society I feel it is my duty to bring a little Free Speech into your soul. Thank you for your time and Keep Alaska Wild. -bg
