Screamin Premium! - Thursday, April 26th

minius (33k image)Has anyone noticed the frequency of your eyes grabbing signs telling you how great the coffee is everywhere? (And it’s happening in all the places where the coffee always sucked?) What, was there a coffee revelation planet wide that allowed places which normally buy as much coffee as possible, at the lowest price, roast it in the largest quantity, grind and package it to be brewed world wide with the most amount of water, resulting in the largest bottom line?
Or is it just because coffee is all the rage?
Madison Avenue hasn’t missed out on the fact that everyone has a paper cup with a cardboard quilt and a plastic top in one hand and a cell phone in the other. The way they look at it if it’s not their coffee it’s going to be someone else’s so if they scream louder with better fluffy comfy signs you’ll be more likely to buy. Who can prove their wrong when were talking about personal taste?
At the bagel store (I had Roos Roast in my own Roos Roast mug.) I overheard the counter girl ask the man buying coffee, “Would you like to try the coconut pineapple Hawaiian?” “No, actually I’m a coffee flavored kind of coffee drinker.” He told her.
I thought me too and went over and handed him a business card. (image by tajmap@yahoo.com)

Symptoms of Spring - Monday, April 23rd

thankyou (16k image)Waking with window open to the robin’s drunken chirp. Slippery thoughts and phrases and how to say them in real life. Real life being the one seated at office desk or standing talking with meaning and seriousness. Matters of importance first. It's not so much a matter of what kind of coffee it's more a matter of which brewing method. "Make it nice for the people because the people they Love!"
Professor Tarek Joesph visit the Last Bohemian Adventure Coffee Roasting/Art Studio HQ Roos Roast yesterday, and here is something he came across on my old Royal. Have a great week and buy some Roos Roast!
Super shout out to all the great people at Sun Moon Yoga, Bill Grow, and Chris Donnelley for stopping by too. Stay tuned for up coming events.

Cake made in honor of Roos Roast? - Wednesday, April 18th

DSC05537sm[1] (32k image) How about Cakes made in honor of local Artisans? These were no ordinary cakes each cake is part of Heather Leavitt’s thesis work at the
U of M. A semester in Italy inspired Heather to take her work as an artist chef to the next level and on Saturday night at Every Day Cook above Everyday Wine in Kerry town she hosted a show titled: “Home Made.”
When Heather wanted to hang out while I roasted coffee to get ideas for a cake based on me and Roos Roast I had no idea what to expect? I have to say the Show, and the cakes blew my mind I wanted to share this picture of the cake and Heather and I taken by Tarek A. Joseph. Tarek. He is the camera of the digital age if you want anymore images of that grand event! Contact Tarek tajspace@gmail.com
That’s Heathers professor, Nick Tobier, in the background talking to the man scratching his head. As Professor Tobier says, “Roos Roast, It’s for People!”

Coffee Class - Tuesday, April 3rd

The April Fools Coffee Class was foolish! The joke was on me. With at least 10 e-mail confirmed students only 3 showed up! April Fools!
It was still a really good time. Dave Moore of Natural World Bakery brought some of his amazing baked goods. (The best and most addictive butter cookies! Available at Morgan and York, Formally Big Ten Party Store Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays)
In addition to demonstrating the performance and handling of my fine coffee roaster, we talked coffee history, drank cup after cup of Roos Roast and proved that over roasting kills the flavor. (I had some accidentally over roasted a batch of coffee on Friday night and after tasting an Organic Mexican Chiapas, followed by an Organic Sumatra, we tried a pot of this really dark roast. It was unanimous all f the golden flavor and nuances of the beans earthy goodness were gone. It tasted like burnt water. I look forward to schooling you.
