What is fair trade? It’s taking the price of things seriously. At Roos Roast fairly traded coffee is not only fair for the creatures in the rain forest, the water table, air, trees, land, environment and people who’s lively hood depends on the coffee they live for and grow, it’s fair trade for you.
I would like to say THANK YOU because so many of you great and generous Roos Roast drinkers have bought Roos Roast and shared it with the people around you.
Kick back relax and let me know if you need any COFFEE. (or T-Shirts?)

Every sip takes you farther away from the forces that daily threaten to destroy your serenity - Tuesday, May 22nd
I wanted to share with the web audience what Elise a long time Roos Roast drinker and school teacher/bird watcher/naturalist said about the latest shipment of Organic Guatemalan:
Want to know what will make your irritation over your neighbor's yapping Dachshunds fade to a barely noticeable blip on the edge of your attention span? Roos Roast's organic light roast Guatemalan.
Every sip takes you farther away from the forces that daily threaten to destroy your serenity.
This aromatic roast offers hints of dark chocolate and delicious raspberry. With the perfect amount of Organic Valley Half and Half, this Guatemalan glides overt your palette and gently goes to work on even the most worn out neurotransmitters, sparking happy and pleasant thoughts of a promising future.
It's a mood-altering experience so sweet it should be in a bottle behind the pharmacist’s counter at CVS. You should have to show your drivers license and a prescription to get it. Luckily though, it's not that hard to get. This experience is there for you. Simply order some from Roos Roast today. Order it light or medium and take back your serenity.

Welcome to the Espresso News Desk of Roos Roast Coffee. - Thursday, May 17th
I’m sitting here as a 12 hour day at Dunning Subaru ends and normally we just Veg out as if the day is over but there is actually 30 minutes left and that is tons of time to Blast out a Blog.
I want to remind everyone to donate $15 to the Growing Hope Fund Raiser even under the unfortunate circumstance that they can’t make the Don Conoscenti Benefit Concert at the Roasting Barn on the evening of June 8th at 7PM. Be There because this is going to be great! (Scroll down to see previous blog posts) You can go to www.growinghope.net or get your ticket at the door.
There is so much happening. Roos Roast is now officially a member of The Alaska Coalition with the help of Ben Greuel the amazing young naturalist lobbying for the environment. As a small business being a member of the Alaska Coalition means I support the Wild side of life and all the wild animals who deserver our consideration and the environment we share. For more info go to www.alaskacoalition.org

Has this weather been amazing or what? - Monday, May 7th
I was out birding yesterday morning after drinking large amounts of Roos Roast. It’s time to celebrate the weather and all our fine feathered friends passing through the mitten state on their way north for the summer.
Lots of super cut Yellow Warblers, the tail pumping Palm Warbler, Red-bellied and Downy Wood Peckers, the Baltimore Oriole, and to top it all off the Rose-breasted Grosbeak! That’s not to mention the White Throated Sparrow who kicks food loose from between rocks and leaves.
All these cool birds are even more reason to buy fair trade, organic, bird friendly coffee these little guys winter in Central and South America and they need trees and the biodiversity of the natural places fine coffee grows.
To celebrate all these cool bird and this fine weather I’m putting all Roos Roast T-Shirts on sale for $15.00. Hurry up and Buy! Supplies are limited so e-mail me and get into a great 100% cotton T! (I have way too many smalls so I may even work a better deal if you can work with that size.)
If you are on a budget and just want to be representing (that is wearing the shirt talking up the ROOS.) contact me by e- mail in the contact page or by phone 734-709-9565 and we’ll put a deal together!
