Bolivia Microlot

Coffee from...Bolivia? Yes! This is an outstanding and rare micro-lot coming from the eastern ridge of the Andes Mountains, in the Yungas region of Bolivia.

So, in case you were wondering what was up with Bolivian coffee, here's a little backstory:

Until the 1990s, coffee production in Bolivia was dominated by wealthy landowners with large farms. This was disrupted when the governmental land reform mandated large landowners return the land back to the families and communities who had original ownership. As a result, Bolivia has become a paradise of small family farms and micro-lots now producing totally unique speciality coffee for the world. Due to the challenges of transportation and exporting, plus the small size of the farms, it's not easy to get your hands on these coffees.

Luckily, we have located a gem from this mosaic of small farms - we think you will enjoy!!
