This is a wonderful addition to your tea lineup; a classic in Japan, Hojicha is a roasted green tea consisting of tea twigs and leaves. The roast reduces the astringency typical of Japanese green teas and imparts notes of earth and tobacco. 

As tea branch cells produce very little caffeine, Hojicha is lightly caffeinated. A soothing hot cup or a refreshing cold brew.

Directions: Steep at 1 tsp per 8 oz of water at 175*F for 4 minutes.
